Inspire

Awaken, open your eyes, your heart, your soul;
Awaken, open the windows and doors,
Let the light and life flood you, making you whole.

Smile, you were given a heartbeat;
Abilities to feel, touch, hear, smell,
Delectable senses making sensations a tasty treat.

You can hope, dream, reach for the unachievable!
See beyond that which is your life,
Have the will, the determination to reach the unthinkable.

Love, love because you are beautiful,
Love, be kind, be passionate and compassionate;
Love; let it change you, grow, have a heart that's full.

Courage! Be brave, dare greatly!
Be vulnerable, face the darkness,
The demons, the lies, the dark... fear you immensely.

Awaken, there is nothing to fear, but yourself...
That which has tormented and brought sorrow;
The cage we put upon ourself.

Be the ship that braves the uncharted seas,
The wind that challenges a mountain;
The ocean that spans all that it sees.

Be the flower that blooms at night;
Have perseverance to continue against the odds...
Find the strength to stand up and make a fight!

Inspire... open their eyes, their heart
Share, connect, be their beacon,
Shining in the dark and when they fall apart.

Encourage, be warm and kind
Be the hearth in the midst of winter;
Be the one that says, "no one gets left behind!"

Be the bird, free, soaring high
Give to those who need that extra hand...
Say Hello more than Goodbye.

Awaken, Achieve, Love, Inspire!
Take the steps in the dark, so others may follow;
Help them climb the mountain; higher and higher.

Smile, give, greet, help and love!
Give hugs and open doors
Be the light, the step so others may rise above.

If I get lost

If I get lost 

If I get lost, please remind me;

To open my eyes, 

To see the world around me.

To open my heart,

And remember my loved ones;

That I am loved, and have love.

To open my mind,

To not shy away from the darkness;

The gnawing, scraping, hurting, darkness.

Remind me of sharing and caring;

I may be scared, but I am not alone.

Remind me of yesterday, of happiness,

Love, joy, the courage to love another.

Remind me that though the terrible is frightening,

It’s in the past, and not who I am.

Have me lower my hands from eyes,

To see the others that share my light;

The light that spreads into the deepest depths, 

The darkness, the monsters, the evil.

Remind me that I have a path, I have a journey,

And I have the strength, determination to take those steps.

Remind me if I get lost, or if I stray the path

That I was never truly lost, just a little mislead. 

Open my eyes, open my heart, open my mind;

Lower my hands from covered eyes, 

Touch my heart with yours, 

And question why, why I am not being true to me.

Remind me of the love and loved ones,

Remind me to climb the mountain, to spread my wings and be free!
