If I forget

If I forget, please remind me.
Remind me of yesterday, of simplicity
Before the hurts, the regrets, the let downs.
Remind me to smile a little more,
Even though my day may be grey.
Remind me to be warm always,
Even when the coldness, bites a bit much.
Remind me that laughter is not an option
But a requirement, even if it's just me.
Remind me that beauty lies in all things,
Especially within ourselves.
Remind me to pause on occasion,
To see the world thru a snail's eyes.
Remind me to open doors,
And always say thank you and please.
Remind me that though I may get lonely,
I'm never truly alone.
Remind me of who I am, and who I wish to be.
I may make mistakes, but I am good.
Remind me that all light
Cannot shine without darkness.
Remind me of these things,
Remind me to have patience,
To not rush, in a world of constant motion.
Remind me... to just stand, to just be.
To look with another's eyes and see
And know above all else, it's ok to just be me.
